Itinerary Overview

Day 1 – Arrival in Porto

Welcome to Porto, Portugal! Once you arrive, settle into your hotel and explore the city on your own. In the evening, meet your Tour Director and fellow travelers. It's time to get excited - your Portugal vacation begins now!

Day 2 – Explore Porto

Today, enjoy a guided tour of Porto, one of Europe’s most charming cities. Stroll along the Douro River, see colorful houses, painted tiles, and traditional shops. Don’t forget to snap a photo of the famous Port wine cellars!

Day 3 – Porto ➤ Viana do Castelo ➤ Valenca do Minho ➤ Ponte de Lima ➤ Braga

Hit the road and visit Viana do Castelo, a coastal town known for its old palaces and fountains. Then walk through the fortified town of Valenca do Minho, just across from Spain! Next stop: Ponte de Lima, home to a perfectly preserved Roman bridge. End the day in the historic city of Braga.

Day 4 – Free Day in Braga

Enjoy a full day in Braga. Visit the stunning Braga Cathedral and the Bom Jesus do Monte sanctuary, with its dramatic staircases and fountains. Wander the city streets or relax with a coffee - this is your day to explore.

Day 5 – Braga ➤ Vila Real ➤ Guarda

Travel to Vila Real, a town full of old mansions and narrow streets. Enjoy a wine tasting from the famous Douro Valley. Then, head to Guarda, Portugal’s highest city, where medieval charm meets mountain views. At over 3,000 feet, it’s a cool place - literally and historically!

Day 6 – Guarda ➤ Coimbra ➤ Fatima

Join a guided tour of Coimbra, home to one of Europe’s oldest universities. Next, journey to Fatima, a world-famous pilgrimage site. Discover the story of the three shepherd children and the apparitions of the Virgin Mary that changed this small town forever.

Day 7 – Fatima ➤ Lisbon
